Our Under 9 section is aimed at those children who have already experienced cricket either at school or through an All Stars or Dynamos programme and feel ready to progress to playing hardball cricket. They will also have the opportunity to participate in competitive matches against other clubs. Training sessions are designed to develop skills across the 3 areas of the sport: batting, bowling and fielding whilst maintaining high levels of enjoyment.
With the introduction of competitive matches, players begin to put their skills into practice under the guidance of their coaches. All matches are played in the “pairs” format which allows batters to develop their confidence without the fear of dismissal.
Sessions will be run at Great Melton cricket club on a Friday night from 6.30pm – 8.00pm starting on Friday 24 April and run throughout the summer until Friday 24 July.
Under 11s – Boys fully Booked. Spaces for Girls
Our Under 11 section is aimed at those children moving up from the U9s or graduating from Dynamos cricket. Training sessions are designed to further develop skills across the 3 areas of the sport: batting, bowling and fielding with a maintaining high levels of enjoyment. We enter 3 U11 teams into the Norfolk Cricket Alliance Junior Competition. 1 team is entered into the tier 1 competition and is aimed at those established cricketers keen to develop their skills further against stronger competition. 2 teams are entered into the tier 2 competition aimed at developing players new to the sport. This competition takes the “pairs” format designed to encourage cricketers to practice their skills without the fear of getting out. Boys and girls play alongside each other in this competition.
In addition the U11 Girls are also entered into the Norfolk Cricket Board U11 Girls' League.
Sessions will be run at Great Melton cricket club on a Friday night from 6.30pm – 8.00pm starting on Friday 24 April and run throughout the summer until Friday 24 July.
Our Under 13 section is aimed at those children moving up from the U11s or graduating from Dynamos cricket. Training sessions are designed to continue the development across the 3 areas of the sport: batting, bowling and fielding whilst allowing children to focus on specialist areas such as spin bowling or wicket keeping.
We enter 3 U13 teams into the Norfolk Cricket Alliance Junior Competition. 1 team is entered into the tier 1 competition and is aimed at those established cricketers keen to develop their skills further against stronger competition. 2 teams are entered into the tier 2 competition aimed at developing players.Boys and girls play alongside each other in this competition. Our U13 team also takes part in the ECB Vitality T20 competition.
Players in this age group, who are deemed ready, are also invited to take part in senior training and matches. Coaches will talk to the individuals involved as the season progresses.
Those new to the sport are also more than welcome to join these sessions where the appropriate level of coaching will be provided.
Sessions for boys will be run on a Monday night from 6.30pm – 8.00pm starting on Monday 29 April running through to Monday 28 July. Sessions for girls will be run on Thursday nights from 6.30pm-8.00pm and begin on Thursday 23 April. Girls who wish to be considered to play alongside the boys in mixed competitions are also welcome to train on a Monday evening.
Under 15s – fully booked for 2025
Our Under 15 section is aimed at those children moving up from the U13s. Training sessions are designed to continue the development across the 3 areas of the sport: batting, bowling and fielding whilst allowing children to focus on specialist areas such as spin bowling or wicket keeping.
We enter 2 U15 teams into the Norfolk Cricket Alliance Junior Competition. 1 team is entered into the tier 1 competition and is aimed at those established cricketers keen to develop their skills further against stronger competition. They will also be in consideration for selection for our Saturday senior teams. A second team is entered into the tier 2 competition aimed at developing players. Both boys and girls play alongside each other in this competition.
In addition, our U15 Girls take part in the Norfolk Cricket Board U15 Girls competition and the ECB T20 competition.
Players in this age group, who are deemed ready, are also invited to take part in senior matches. Coaches will speak to individual players as the season progresses.

Our U17s train alongside our senior members on a Tuesday night. Most of these players play most of their cricket in one of our senior teams at weekends although there is still a dedicated U17 competition in the Norfolk Cricket Alliance Junior Competition, that players participate in.
Under 19s – spaces available
Our U19s train alongside our senior members on a Tuesday night. Most of these players participate in senior cricket matches at weekends and midweek although there is still a dedicated U19 T20 competition that the players participate in.
