Container Re-Located!

Thanks to Mike, Steve, Neal, John, Grenville and Richard Mawby who came down to assist in the task of moving the container.  The operation went very smoothly thanks to the expertise of Martyn & Danny who made it all look easy and caused minimal damage to the ground!  The groundsmen now have a new location but it does mean that parking around the pavilion is more restricted, the gate opposite Mike's house will be kept shut and entrance to the ground will now be via the main Park gates.

We will need a much larger band of helpers when the wicket is put to bed on Saturday 22nd September so please put the date in your diaries.  It is a bit unfair that much of the work at Melton Park is normally done by those who rarely get to play on the ground.  We need a little more from everybody if the club is to continue to flourish!  We will have several positions to fill at the A.G.M. so, if you're interested in being a little more involved, please let me know.

Remember it's the Junior Festival on Friday 7th/Saturday 8th September so please pop down and support it.  Any prizes would be much appeciated.  Then, the season finishes with the Patron's XI V President's XI match on Sunday 16th September.  Please let me or Neal Clarke know if you are available and would like to play.  Precedence will be given to ‘club stalwarts' and senior players so we might see the grumpy groundsman making a cameo appearance!
