The Great Melton Senior Indoor Team Win the South Norfolk League.

The Great Melton Senior Indoor Team won the South Norfolk League on Sunday.
Four teams came together for the finals day with Hethersett & Tas Valley beating Gt Withchingham in the first semi-final.
Melton then played Drayton in the 2nd semi-final & came away with a fairly comfortable win to advance to the local derby final v H&TV.
Bowling first, Melton did well to restrict H&TV to 270. Strong bowling throughout & sharp fielding meant H&TV posted a solid total but certainly chaseable.
H&TV bowled particularly well & put the Melton batters under pressure but crucially the runs kept ticking over.
In the final pairing of Sam & George, momentum swung back towards H&TV. In the final over, Melton needed 16 off the last 3 balls for victory & the young lads kept their cool to hit an 8, 4, 4 to get the job done on the final ball.
It was a great end to the Sth Norfolk indoor league for Melton. The team now play again this Sunday in the Norfolk final.
